COVID-19 Update~

In order to stay open as safely as possible, there have been several policy changes. The following covers what you need to know in order to facilitate a smooth transition back to treatment.

Plan for Return to Clinical Practice – Safely
I have created an extensive plan to return as safely and as quickly as possible. This is a living document that will change if/when our governing body or Provincial Health guidelines change. This has been created based on the current guidelines forwarded by the Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC, the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia and the Provincial Health Officer. All patients must read, understand, and agree to the current protocols as outlined here, prior to every appointment. You may request this document at any time, and I will also be emailing it at when your appointment is booked. http://www.leahyallopmassagetherapy.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Plan-for-Return-to-Clinic-Practise-2020.pdf

BC’s Online Covid-19 Self-Assessment Tool
I am required to use this Self-Assessment tool every day and to notify you of the results at the time of your appointment. Within the 24-hour period prior to each of your appointments you must also complete this assessment tool and inform me of the results at the time of your appointment. You can find the BC’s Online Covid-19 Self-Assessment Tool here: https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en

Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire
For each appointment you are required to complete a Screening Questionnaire that will be emailed at the time of booking. You can preview it here. http://www.leahyallopmassagetherapy.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/COVID-screening-questionnaire-2020.pdf

Enhanced Cleaning Protocols
Enhanced cleaning protocols include general cleaning according to the BC CDC guidelines as found here: http://www.bccdc.ca/Health-Professionals-Site/Documents/COVID-19_MOH_BCCDC_EnvironmentalCleaning.pdf
In addition I have created a checklist to use for enhanced cleaning procedure between each patient that will be posted in the clinic.

Wait Outside the Clinic for Your Appointment
The waiting area can no longer be used for waiting, or lounging before or after your treatment. Please wait in your vehicle, the sidewalk, or on the chair outside for me to complete sanitizing the space and to welcome you in for your appointment. Please leave promptly after the appointment so I can sanitize the space for my next patient.

No Minors
Only one person aside from myself is permitted in the clinic. This means I cannot treat minors that need to be accompanied by an adult. Please seek alternative care for your little ones at this time.

No Immunocompromised Patients
If you are immune deficient it is in your best interest to seek alternative care at this time.

No New Patients
For the foreseeable future I will not be accepting new patients. In order to work safely in today’s atmosphere I believe a foundation of trust must be established. I’m confident that I have this with my current clientele. As I am doing everything and anything I can to limit viral transmission, I trust that you all will do the same to protect me.

There are a fair number of other polices and protocols in place that are found in the documents I’ve mentioned and linked here. Please take your time to review all of them. It is necessary for your safety, my safety, and that of my other patients, that you read, understand and agree to abide by all the new protocols.

I am looking forward to working with you all again!
